What is GSA?

GSA stands for GENERAL SALES AGENT, this service is provided to airlines and interlines. Through the GSA service we are in charge of selling all the airline’s products in the country which includes tickets and cargo space. A GSA will normally sell the product of more than one airline. Airlines often use GSA’s as it allows them to have a greater presence when selling in a country at a lower cost than opening their own sales office in the short term.

What does this service involve?


The services of a General Sales Agent involve tailor-made solutions for airlines including the provision of efficient marketing tools, proactive sales methods and other customized services as it is appropriate and required to increase the public presence of the airline’s services, its business expansion and to address individual passenger needs.

Performance and functions of a GSA:

  • Ensures maximum profit and productivity by implementing coordinated business strategies and recommending necessary changes in business strategies to be developed, manages and implements its marketing plans in accordance with the overall strategy agreed with the company.

  • Monitors the market in detail and continuously researching competitor activities; and recommending necessary changes in business strategies and sales/marketing activities; with the objective of ensuring long term business growth.
  • Continuous search for improvement of business processes, systems and technologies to ensure the achievement of objectives in the most productive manner for the represented airline.
  • Organize, implement and manage all forms of legal activity, aviation documentation and forms, correspondence with passengers in the native language of the countries represented, airport management, passenger assistance activities, reservations and tariff services and flight tracking.


What is GHS?

The acronym stands for GENERAL HANDLING SERVICE. This service is directed to the Airlines or companies that need to attend a flight that is going to land at the international Airport or load or unload a Truck, Cargo Labeling, and Packing. All this can be done in the Air Center for companies or on the runway in the case of Airlines and Maritime Freight.

This service is one of the services that we continue to develop as a company. Many times they do not have the customization of customer support or are not very interested when they are minimum volumes for their standards.

How does this service work?

As in Air service, all contacts are abroad and some internal. We contact different agents in China, for example, they do the logistics in origin and we do the logistics here in Nicaragua, this as an example of an import cargo.

In the case of export shipments, we work with all shipping lines operating in Nicaragua, as well as with different warehouses and carriers.

What does this service include?

General Logistics in origin and destination, such as documentation; BL printing, freight forwarding, customs clearance (if the client requires it), tax payments and much more.
